I'm on a date (online that is...)

So, out of the blue, I get a nice e-mail from my dating website from a chap called Nathan. I hadn't been online for a while and had certainly not had time for any browsing or winking at anyone, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Firstly - he wrote a nice e-mail. Up until now I'd had idiots sending me e-mails written in text language, which frankly, I find annoying and uneducated. I know - I sound like a snob - but if you want to impress me at least use the English Language!

So, this is how it reads...

Hey Bridget
How are you? Hope you're having a good week now Monday is out the way!!
I'm new to this so no idea how good it'll be but hey, its worth the risk!
If you like what you see and want to get to know me, let me know. If not, good luck and be happy

I like him already. Or do I? Is it just because
a. he's a man
b. he's giving me attention
c. he can write an e-mail.

So, to help me, I look at his profile. Impressive. Pics are quite small, so hard to really tell what he looks like - but I've come to realise looks really aren't everything. I read on. Open, honest, funny, a family guy, things in common with me, yep - he's looking good. So I e-mail back straight away. Dating etiquette suggests waiting 24 hours, but I've actually gone past caring. Thankfully he e-mails back really quickly with the following response:

Hey Bridget,
Thanks for getting back to me....I'm feeling a bit more confident about this site already!
I'm manic at work so haven't got the time to write a proper email but thought that it might be good to swap email addresses perhaps so we can chat on msn? If its too soon, that's cool. Just know that I'm on msn messenger more than on here and would really like to get to know you.
Anyway, my address is mystery@msn.com

Blimey. He is keen. So I add him on MSN last night. Then today, we talk for a bit and he gives me his mobile number. Jeez. this is moving a bit too fast and I learnt this mistake last time. But then, so what, you only live once huh?

So, he texts me and asks me for an online date. I agree. 9pm tonight. Watch this space....
