Yes, its high time we discussed that crazy little thing we call love. Hold your horses - I'm not just talking about Nathan here...
Easter weekend I spent time with my family - It was frustrating at times, but I felt like I bonded with my Mum more than I had done in a long time. We didn't argue, we giggled together and I realised just how close we are - I am so lucky to have her in my life. We can talk about anything and we are incredibly alike. I wish we had more quality time together.
I also got to see my gorgeous god-daughter and my second family. Again, I wish I had more time with them - I love them dearly and spend days missing them after spending time together. She is only 7 and I am so excited to be part of her life and can't wait to be there throughout her milestones as a cool auntie!
This weekend I am heading back to my University town to see my 3 best friends - Lorna, Dave and Rhys. I love them so much - They know everything about me and they still love me despite the bad stuff and that is what Love is - knowing everything about someone - even the bad bits - and it being OK. Those bad bits are what makes you a person, and if the person you are with accepts them than it could be love.
On Monday I saw my other favourite people - my housemate Ellie and my favourite couple in the world, Joey and Rhi, being with them is effortless and I adore their company. I just cannot imagine my life without them and they are by far the most constant things in my life - my rocks, my surrogate family, my biggest fans and my biggest criticisers.
As for Nathan, well - things are going slowly which I suppose is a good thing. I am in no hurry and i'm not going to be telling him I am in love with him any time soon- it is too big a word and is used too often and too casually - I've defined love in this blog and we have a long way to go before we get there, but I'm excited about the journey.
