Since turning 25 just 4 months ago, I've noticed some changes in my body. The dieting obviously has had quite an impact, but age is definitely beginning to take its toll. I couldn't help but wonder if anyone else was feeling the changes too.
Its hardly the conversation you bring up with your gal pals in the pub, but I needed to know if I was alone in this part of my life too. I mean, the odd grey hair cropping up is natural, and at least you can dye your hair. Well, at least I thought it wasn't a big deal. Two nights ago I hear screaming coming from the bathroom. Ellie, my flatmate, had discovered a grey hair - in her eyebrow. The devastation that followed was horrific, but to a fly on the wall, hilarious. One single grey hair can turn a woman into a babbling mess - claiming that she needs to settle down before she goes completely grey and talking hair dye options.
No grey hairs for me as yet. No fine lines (thanks to years of good moisturiser). The only saggy bits I have are a result of my recent weight loss. However... I've noticed this one stray hair which keeps coming back. I did the obvious thing and consulted my Mother. "Darling, its natural. Wait until you get to my age, you'll have plenty of those to take care of!" Cheers Mum. I know have a vision of one of those old ladies with a full-on beard.
So, the verdict. As a 25 year old, you can no longer rely on your youth to help you look good. You have to get one of those wiry brushes to exfoliate your skin. You have to moisturise every inch of your body. You have to keep manicured and have facials. Its down hill from here...
